With the prospect of making 2,500 jobs and attracting 1.5 million tourists though, you would have thought they would have showna bit more support.

True, I'm slightly puzzled by that one - it sounds like it's going to make an impact on the area, increase trade and tourism and provide in excess of 2500 jobs which I strongly suspect would largely be made up from locals.

Then again, maybe they are fed up with these things springing up all over the states - I can understand why you wouldn't want a casino, though with that many benefits I think it's a worthy sacrifice upsetting a few people.
