 Kansas Casino Gambling
Welcome to the Kansas Casino & Gambling Forum - you're connection to the gaming crowd in Kansas.

In Kansas casinos are open 24 hours a day. You will find a great selection of live casino games such as: roulette, craps, blackjack, let it ride, caribbean stud poker, bingo, video poker and of course lots of slots. In Kansas as with most U.S. states these days, the minimum age to gamble is 21.

Kansas has gambling revenue being generated for the state from three forms of wagering / betting: the Kansas Lottery, the pari-mutuel race tracks and charitable bingo. Now the state is considering setting up its own casinos to support the expansion of funding for highways, education and other public services. Already, the plans have been informally approved to introduce slot machines at the state’s pari-mutuel race tracks and to open a state-owned casino in Wyandotte County.

Kansas already has four casinos which were established under tribal-state gaming compacts negotiated in the mid-1990s, and are owned and operated by each of the state’s four resident tribes. They each offer tourists a wide range of games, dining and entertainment facilities, and all except Casino White Cloud are open for 24 hours a day.

The Golden Eagle Casino was established by the Kickapoo Tribe and can be found in Horton, Kansas. The casino’s specialty game is the Let It Ride Bonus, a variation of the popular table game Let It Ride, and based on Five Card Stud poker.

In the Eagle’s Nest Poker Room, visitors to the Golden Eagle can participate in a variety of poker games including 7-Card Stud, 7-Card Stud High-Low, Texas Hold'em, Omaha and 3-Card Poker. A range of tournaments are held for different games, some nightly, some weekly. While visiting the Golden Eagle Casino, tourists can also play bingo, craps, roulette and blackjack, or try their chances on any of the 700 slot machines featuring a wide variety of games. For transportation to the Casino, buses are available from surrounding states including Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota, as well as other areas of Kansas. Dining is available at the Golden Eagle Casino’s buffet restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Visitors to the Topeka area can try their luck at Harrah’s Prairie Band Casino, operated by the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and based just north of Topeka on US-75 highway. Here, tourists can play on more than 1,000 slot machines and more than 30 table games which include roulette, craps and black jack. There are also regular black jack and poker tournaments in which visitors to the Casino can participate. For those who desire convenient lodgings while they sample the delights of the casino, there is now an adjacent hotel with nearly 300 luxurious rooms. Delectable dining is available in three separate restaurants, including themed buffet dinners in the Fresh Market Square Buffet.

If on vacation in the northeast Kansas region, tourists can visit the Sac and Fox Casino, conveniently located on Highway 75 in Powhattan, and owned and operated by the Sac and Fox tribe. Here, gamblers can play the slots on 475 machines which include new games such as Texas Tea, Tailgate Party, Enchanted Unicorn, and Frog Prince. Alternatively, gambling at the Sac and Fox comes in the form of Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, Let It Ride, Double Deck Blackjack or Three Card Poker at the Casino’s gaming tables. A range of excellent dining and refreshment options are available in the Boat Bar, The Chop House, the Deli and The Lodge.

Last but not least, tourists to Kansas can visit the Casino White Cloud, operated by the Iowa Tribe. Here Blackjack and Texas Shootout are available on the Casino’s six gaming tables, and there are 350 slot machines including video poker. For a different type of gambling experience, why not visit the Casino’s bingo hall? There are also two restaurants available for that special lunch or dinner experience.

While visiting the casinos in Kansas, tourists can choose from a wide range of hotels for their lodging needs. These range from world-class five star hotels, convenient motels on the main transportation routes and small cozy establishments for more personal service.

Nearly all the major international hotel chains are represented in the state capital of Topeka and in other big cities in Kansas.

To make your casino visit really memorable, why not travel in style using limousine transportation from your hotel. Call the Paradise Limousine Service in Girard on (620) 724-4942 for details.

Tourists who wish to travel slightly further afield for their gambling pleasures should not miss the very popular themed and riverboat casinos of Kansas City, in adjacent Missouri. Here there are four world-class casinos, some of which are moored, others which offer river trips while gambling.

The New Argosy Casino has a Mediterranean village style and offers 1762 slots and 40 gaming tables, and can be found halfway between the airport and downtown Kansas City.

The Isle of Capri, another riverboat casino, has a 1800s exterior style and an island adventure interior and offers many different games and slot machines.

The Ameristar Casino, on the Missouri river northeast of the City, is one of the biggest and grandest gambling establishments in the US. It consists of twin floating casinos, many restaurants and an attached hotel, and has nearly 3000 slot and video poker machines and more than 100 gaming tables. The Ameristar can also lay claim to the largest live poker room in the Midwest.

Finally, Harrah’s north Kansas City casino is another massive and highly impressive gambling establishment consisting of two separate riverboat casinos.
